Our agency
Facts over assumptions
SAJ Recherche B.V. is a private investigation agency in Amsterdam, licensed by the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security (POB 8779, verifiable in the Wpbr register). Our team brings together investigators with more than 20 years of experience and combines that experience with modern methods: surveillance, OSINT, background research, technical counter-surveillance (TSCM) and digital forensics. We work for individuals, companies and attorneys, from our office on Amstelveenseweg and throughout the Netherlands. Discretion and legal admissibility always come first. SAJ Recherche is part of SAJ Group B.V., the holding company that also comprises sister company Privacy Shield Group.

Licence from the Ministry of Justice and Security
SAJ Recherche B.V. is listed in the Dutch Wpbr register under licence number POB 8779, valid until 1 July 2030. You can verify this yourself in the Justis register. In the Netherlands, a private investigation agency may only operate with such a licence under the Private Security Organisations and Investigation Agencies Act (Wpbr). What a licensed agency may and may not do.
Screened investigators
The Wpbr does not allow an investigation agency to assign investigative work to anyone without prior government approval (Article 7 Wpbr, in Dutch). Every investigator working for us has therefore been screened before touching a case file.
Privacy and data protection
We work in accordance with the GDPR and the Dutch privacy code of conduct for private investigation agencies. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy. Data is not kept longer than the case requires.
Complaints procedure
Clients with a signed agreement, and persons who have been the subject of an investigation, can file a complaint under our complaints procedure. It also sets out how we handle a complaint and within what time frame.
